new beginnings!

So sorry for the delay, but big news around here! Roy and I are expecting a christmas baby! Estimated due date (I've been hearing those words a lot lately) is Decembe 21, 2009! We find out what the gender is this Tuesday! For fun, I've decided to start recording the crazy vivid dreams i have been having. There are celebrity dreams, family dreams, and dreams i'm not even in. Stay tuned!

Finally really truly quitting

So I'm in the process of quitting smoking, not only for my own health but also for my fertility. So far I am down to 2 smokes a day, not entirely quitting, but I'm getting there. I've noticed some changes so far:
1. I no longer "have" to have a cigarrette at 10:00, and 12:00 (after lunch), or in the evening after dinner and before bed. At first I was shoving pretzels down my throat to try to avoid the temptation, but it's slowly getting easier to get my mind off smoking.
2. I can smell the cigarette stench when I get into my car. It's not nice.
3. I haven't purchased a pack of smokes in about 2 weeks. Pretty weird. But very good, since Arkansas is about to raise the cigarette tax 50 cents.

So I've got a little farther to go, but i'm confident that soon I'll be smoke free. I'm all ready alcohol free, thankfully, that one was easy.

But sometimes I think "Man, what did I do when I wasn't smoking?"
